TLCA MEMBER TRAVEL GRANT PROGRAM

About the Program

TLCA would like to show our appreciation for those members that give back to the community by offering travel grants. Giving back to the community may mean the TLCA community, or it might just mean their community at home. We envision this program being for those selfless folks that go above and beyond to be positive examples of TLCA in the world. Some examples might be using their Land Cruiser to help those in need. Or maybe organizing events to maintain areas for open access to OHV use. It could also be someone that has been greatly impacted by something outside of their control and has not been able to do the things they love because of it.

Details

Two times a year, one lucky TLCA member will have the opportunity to travel to certain TLCA events (options listed below). TLCA will reimburse up to $1000 in expenses incurred. (Gas receipts, hotels, Uhaul rental, car, flights, food, trail repairs, etc.). In the event that the member cannot drive or trailer their rig to the event, the host club and event will provide a passenger seat for them.

Available TLCA events

We have received commitment from the following events to support this program:

  • Lone Star Land Cruiser Round Up (Texas – March)
  • Cruise Moab (Utah – April)
  • Carolina Relic Run (NC – June)
  • Rubithon (CA – July)
  • Logans Run (NC – September)
  • Southern Cruiser Crawl (Arkansas – October)

These Annual events have agreed to offer free registration and an open-arms welcome to anyone that receives this grant and travels to their event. If you would like to add your event to this listing, please contact memberservices@tlca.org

We will continue to add available events as more clubs commit to the travel grant program.

Nomination process

Each TLCA club in good standing can nominate a club member to receive this grant. The TLCA Board Of Directors will review the nominations and choose two recipients each year.

Who is eligible

Any nominee must be a TLCA member in good standing, as well as a current paid member of their respective club. We ask that clubs choose people based on their commitment and passion for the community. Keep in mind your nominee will be representing your club at a national event.

Requirements for award recipients

  • We ask that the awarded recipients share photos and a short article about their experience for Toyota Trails. (members of your club can offer to help write/edit the article if the nominee is not comfortable writing)
  • Have fun!

Application Deadlines

May 31, 2021 and December 31, 2021

Award winners will be selected for events for the following year so they have time to plan.
