Butch Baker

In 1994 in Bonham, Texas, Butch Baker ran across his first Land Cruiser when his wrecking service was contracted to clear out a piece of property. Turned out, the ranch hands used the 1976 FJ40 to pull a harrow, sow wheat, and the case was dry. He fixed the truck and his son drove it to high school. Spurred on by this first Land Cruiser he joined the LCML and found out about TLCA.

Butch got involved with his local chapter, Lone Star Land Cruisers, serving in various leadership positions including President for many years. His favorite thing about TLCA are the people he’s met because he has friends all over the globe through the club.

When asked what does being in the Hall of fame mean to you, he said “Being selected is one of my highlights in my life. Very humbling to look at the names that preceded me.”
