Traditions don't create themselves. Somewhere
along the way, the seed has to be planted. An
idea needs to be sparked, cultivated and cared
for. Eventually it blossoms into something more,
something bigger. Like a wildfire, a tradition
starts as a spark with the potential to grow into
something that can be seen and felt for hundreds of
years. Wildfires change lives, change landscapes
and redefine generations.
The 2002 Hayman Fire in Colorado is a prime example of a
spark that blossomed into something more. The fire remains a
life and landscape-changing event where each passing year
brings new life, new growth and new change.
As this regeneration takes place, the Rising Sun 4x4
Club of Colorado has started a tradition of visiting
the burn area each year. 2014 marked the
