Regarding the question about the lock key number on Toyota locksets.  No
most locksmiths cannot cut the key using the number.  In years (decades)
past my Toyota dealer used to cut my keys for me from the number on the old
key but the price got so high I quit using the service and now just take the
key to a locksmith.  If you call around to the various locksmiths in your
area you may find one that actually can but start with your Toyota dealer.
I recently had to get one of the newer Lexus style keys cut but the problem
was the same, the dealer charges so much, more than $75, that I found an
online locksmith that cut me one for $25 including the cost of the key.
