[LCML] White smoke in exhaust

Fwiw - I had Jim Chenoweth rebuild Tanka's [78 FJ-40] engine several years ago with 1 mm overbore and .005 milled head, Chevy tulip shaped valve stems, complete valve job, billet cam, etc.  As a result, it generated significantly more heat [and power!], to the extent that I had to run premium gas and lower temp spark plugs in the summer.  Nonetheless, coming back from GSMTR I blew a head gasket and had to have it replaced by a shop near Winston Salem, NC that built engines for racing.  The mechanic replaced the OEM steel gasket with a FelPro copper lined gasket, said they had  the same problem in racing, and it would do the trick.  Never had a problem with the head gasket since...
