[LCML] A question for Jeff or Herb re: knuckle rebuild

Jeff, you mentioned that the shimmying on the front end might be so bad because I just need another front end alignment, I gave you my reasons why I thought that was not the case, but I just thought of another thing as well: with the front end jacked up I can grab the drivers side tire (haven't checked the passenger side as yet) at the top and bottom and I can see 1/8"-3/16" of movement at the joint of the big ball (I don't know what it's called) at the end of the axle on the knuckle side.

This is not alignment related at all, so this movement at that joint is indicative of what? 

I'm getting ready to order parts from Marlin, so a quick response is appreciated.
