[LCML] transmission problems in the GWN

Thanks for the responses.  The PNs are valuable.  Given that the input/pilot bearing was worn I think that the whole main shaft may have issues so a rebuild is in order but my time frame is short.  Does anyone have experience with Specter's "rebuilt" units?  I can get one with a large idler transfer case and a manual transfer shifter for 3Gs.  

If the input shafts are $400 once it is pulled I will weld it up and chuck it up in the lathe and machine it down to fit the pilot bearing.  It will just be a spare trans/transfer anyway.  This brings me to the question of rebuild kits.  Who and where do I find reasonably priced ones that have japanese bearings?
