I have been shopping for a wagon for several years. We were going to do a road trip to AK and back in 2008 and our basement flood put an end to those plans. My wife's new gig this summer nannying for 3 little kids plus our granddaughter kind of put us over the edge - you can't fit 3 kid car seats, a little kid in a booster plus a driver in a Yaris. We looked at some 100s but ended up with a 1987 FJ60. Beautiful rig, almost stone stock, almost no rust, 163k miles. The only serious issue is a bad u-joint at the t-case to front d-shaft, I will fix that when I get back from Moab. Monday I will see about getting temporary tags to get her through emissions, then passing emissions and on to the good stuff. She's got a JC Whitney style brush guard which will go away right away, probably go with an ARB unless there are better recommendations.
But after the u-joint, my first order of business will be sliders. I see that Slee has discontinued his 60 series sliders. What recommendations do people have for pre-made sliders? Of course I could make my own but figure there are probably more cost-effective, time-effective alternatives out there.
TIA, Happy Easter and happy cruisin'!
