[LCML] Easy front leaf spring question

Good morning all,

This is an easy question for most and I believe I know the answer, I just want to make sure before I go to too much trouble.

I am currently removing the previous owners reverse shackle set up on my FJ40 and putting original 40 springs back on it. I went to put the springs back on my new brackets last night and for some reason started to doubt my instinct on which way to face the springs.

As you know, the center pins are offset. I believe the longer portion of the springs goes towards the front (making the wheel base shorter). Can someone just quickly confirm that for me?
