singlehandedly kept tlca alive for many years... how?
through toyota trails which at that time was the bond that kept the  
cruiser family together

i have fond memories of gary... many... (i'll detail a couple later)

he allowed me to work on trails, he backed me when we presented the  
idea of going more professional with trails to ron patston, bringing  
in mark whatley, rob mullen, henry cubillan.... (what a team of  
pranksters that was! :-)

he and john pardi taught me to wheel (rubithon 1995/96/97), he  
attended my wedding, he set up the sprinkler system for our tomato  
patch... he had a sharp sense of humor...

our wives shared their dislike for wheeling... :-) we sat in the next  
room drinking beers, they gossip about our addiction... we gossiped  
about their phobias :-)

their home in placerville was open to the germans, the canadians...  
and all the nationals... a visit to his place was a must... like  
visiting a guru...!

he worked like crazy... at work, at home, for tlca... he wheeled hard...

he made a sudden stop while i was drinking coffee... making me spill  
it all over myself... i looked at him... he had the biggest smile on  
earth...

that's what i'll remember...
