EventsMost TLCA chapters organize trail runs and social meetings for their members. If you are not affiliated with any chapter, this is a great opportunity to meet some local Cruiserheads, see their rigs, and exchange stories—who knows, you might enjoy the company so much that you’ll become a member right there and then. Look up your nearest chapter in the Chapter Directory. 2008 EVENTSLone Star Toyota Jamboree · January 17-20, 2008 · Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area, Gilmer, Texas River Shiver 2008 · February 15-18, 2008 · Waiparous, Alberta, Canada Calico Clean Up · February 16-17, 2008 · Barstow, CA Lone Star Cruiser Roundup · March 6-9, 2008 · Katemcy, Texas Mud N Yer Eye Frolic · April 2008 · Hollister Hills, California Bakersfield Land Cruiser Rally · April 2008 · Bakersfield, California Cruise Moab · April 30 - May 4, 2008 · Moab, Utah Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride · May 12-17, 2008 · Tellico Plains, Tennessee Razorback Ramble · June 6-8, 2008 · Superlift ORV Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas Rubithon · June 18-22, 2008 · Rubicon Trail, California Coal Mine Cruiser Classic · July 2008· Rausch Creek Off-Road Park, Joliett, PA PMC Swap Meet · July 12, 2008 · Petaluma, California Black Hills Cruiser Classic · July 17-19, 2008 · Black Hills, South Dakota McGrew Trail Ride · July 26, 2008 · O'Brien, Oregon Rising Sun Rally · Summer 2008 · Denver area, Colorado Tall Corn Cruiser Classic · September 2008 · Knoxville, Iowa Get Flat Nasty with Tornado Alley Cruisers · September 2008, Salem, Missouri Toyota Taconite Trailride · September 2008 · Gilbert, Minnesota Cruisin’ The Woods 2008 · September 2008 · Brown’s Camp, Oregon FJ45 Run · September 1-3, 2008 · Deer Valley, California Southern Cruiser Crawl · October 2008 · Gray Rock ORV Park, Gardendale, Alabama Glitter Gulch Gambol · November 2008 · Mesquite, Nevada Surf N Turf · November 2008 · Pismo Beach, California January 17-20, 2008 TLCA Open Event hosted by Toyota Trail Riders February 15-18, 2008, Waiparous, Alberta, Canada Grab your touque, snowboots and tire chains! River Shiver promises to be another year of frosty fun. First held in 2005, the River Shiver was the first TLCA sanctioned event in Canada. Those who attended know how great of a time can be had! River Shiver is a small event and it is small by our choice. After all, we'll be wheeling in Alberta, where it's often said "if you don't like the weather, wait fifteen minutes and it'll change." So it's important to be flexible in regards to the changing conditions. A smaller, closer-knit group of people will allow for this to happen more readily than a larger, more independent group of wheelers. The number of participants will be limited, so be sure to contact us immediately for your information package. The River Shiver fees for each person include all meals, three nights of accommodation, three days of guided trail rides, event toque and raffle ticket. Sometimes, the wheeling will be more scenic than challenging, depending of course, upon the weather. The River Shiver will take place in the Waiparous Off-Road area near Calgary and Banff. Waiparous is a town located in the middle of the Rocky Mountains Forest Preserve, which extends south to the US border. This event is for those who enjoy roughing it a little bit, who don't have egos that need to prove their abilities, who enjoy spending time inside a Cruiser, who are cooperative, have positive attitudes, who are willing to help out as needed in times of trucknage and last but not least, enjoy spending time out in the snow - because face it, there is going to be a lot of it lying around. See you there!

20th Annual Rubithon “Hall of Fame” Run June 18-22, 2008 Located in the 'high country' of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California U.S.A., this trail is famed for its serious 'rock' wheeling and awe-inspiring beauty. It offers a 'no holds barred' opportunity to test your vehicle and yourself against some of the most respected and talked about wheeling challenges ... the Little Sluice, the Old Sluice, the Big Sluice and Cadillac Hill. This is truly an opportunity to voluntarily put yourself 'between a rock and a hard spot.' But with that said, the Rubithon is also an excellent opportunity for the less experienced wheeler to challenge the Rubicon without fear of being abandoned in case of difficulty. Knowledgeable trail committee members are an integral part of each group, and are there to assist if needed. They can offer pointers on wheeling techniques, guide you through the difficult sections, and they know about the all-important by-pass options. Bottom line ... this is possibly the best way to experience the Rubicon for the first time.
