The yellow 1965 FJ45 shorty has been a seven year project that is just now ready for road testing. The yellow 1977 FJ45 was purchased already complete. The green 1966 FJ45 shorty will be ‘RED’ after restoration.
Greg Overton writes: Elkport was a city in Clayton County, Iowa, The population was 88 at the 2000 census. The town was severely damaged by floods in May of 2004. After the floods, all residents of the town chose federal buyout, selling their homes to the United States federal government for demolition. In September 2006, nearly all of the buildings of Elkport were demolished.

Tom Lee says: “I am a new member of TLCA and wanted to send a few pictures for submission of my FJ Cruiser. This is a recent purchase from my friends at Cruiser Solutions. This was their project vehicle and can be seen and spec’d via their website. The pic’s are from a short trek along Calfkiller River located just off Hwy 84 in England Cove which is between Sparta and Monterey, TN.” Tom also mentions that he is considering starting a local TLCA chapter in the future.


Larry Landry, BSLCA President, provided this week’s picture of the week. It was taken at Catahoula Recreation Club, Sicily Island, LA at the BSLCA Labor Day Ride.
Casey Campbell, TLCA Treasurer, visited Colorado for the 2nd annual Rising Sun Rally. The next day, he ran Red Cone with a big group from Rising Sun.
